Cranes with up to 10,000 tonnes of line pull are just one of many challenges that need strong and innovative partners.
The world's largest cutter dredger, currently under construction, is fitted with several Siebenhaar winches. These include complex winch stations featuring a cable winder and hydraulics as well as the biggest free-fall winches in the world reaching 200 tonnes of line pull to be used as a spud-hoisting winch.
